Cookie Notice
Last updated: 4 September 2026.
This notice explains which cookies and similar storage technologies the website of Kimmel International Kft. (the „website”) uses, and for what purpose.
1. What are cookies?
A cookie is a small data file that a website stores on your device. Similar to it is the browser's local storage (localStorage), which also keeps data on your device. This website uses localStorage.
2. What does this website store?
The website only uses technically necessary storage essential for its operation:
- Language preference („kimmel-language”) — localStorage; purpose: remembering your chosen language; lifetime: until you delete it.
- Cookie consent („kimmel-cookie-consent”) — localStorage; purpose: remembering your decision (accept/decline) on analytics measurement; lifetime: until you delete it.
- Country cache („kimmel-country”) — session storage (sessionStorage); purpose: automatic language display; lifetime: until you close the browser tab.
3. Analytics cookies (consent only)
With your consent we use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited) to produce anonymous visit statistics: pages viewed, number of visits, approximate location, device and browser type. IP addresses are processed in anonymised form and are not used for advertising. The tracking code loads only after you click „Accept”; if you decline, no analytics cookie or storage is created. Google Analytics typically sets the „_ga” and „_ga_<measurement id>” cookies (lifetime up to 2 years). Processing follows Google's privacy policy, with EU-approved safeguards for any transfer.
The website does not use marketing, advertising or profiling cookies and does not sell data to third parties.
4. Legal basis
For technically necessary storage, the legal basis is the operation essential to provide the service you requested and our legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; no consent is required. Analytics (Google Analytics) cookies and storage are based solely on your prior, voluntary consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), given in the cookie banner. Without consent no analytics measurement is started.
5. Managing and deleting cookies
You can withdraw your consent to analytics at any time: delete the website's stored data in your browser settings (usually under „Privacy” or „Clear site data”); the cookie banner will then reappear and you can decide again. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before it. If you delete the language preference, the website will automatically choose a language again on your next visit. Further information can be found in the Privacy Notice.
